A decades-long partnership between KUSM-W and Paraguay is changing the South American country's views on family medicine and adding more doctors in the southern hemisphere. Kansas family docs shape medicine in Paraguay Specialty pediatric clinics are filling regional gaps for young patients, providing not only diagnosis and treatment but also saving families from having to travel out of town for care. KU Wichita Pediatrics: clinics provide local care for kids KU's School of Medicine and School of Pharmacy in Wichita are working together to prepare students for a health care system increasingly focused on teamwork and interprofessional education. 8 Medical education for the real world Medical students at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita can take to the skies to learn about emergency medicine, thanks to ride-along flights with EagleMed medical air transport company.
