Seeing a doctor regularly can be challenging enough for some patients. Going home with prescriptions in hand doesn't guarantee care, either, as they require trips to a drugstore. With the opening of an onsite pharmacy, KU Wichita Internal Medicine's Midtown Clinic recently took a big step toward lowering a hurdle and the likelihood treatments and prescriptions are interrupted. "It's meeting the patient where they are," Stephanie Kreutzer, a compliance analyst for the KU Wichita Medical Practice Association, says of the pharmacy. "A lot of our patients really struggle with transportation, and this directly solves that problem.
